It's the last day of June and our virtual vacation starts tomorrow with all kind of neat people blogging on where they are spending a particular day or where they wish they were spending it.
Check in for some famous names (no, I haven't managed to nail Paris Hilton or Tony Blair yet but working on it)
In California today the weather is just perfect--and I have to spend the day in a classroom. I'm on the faculty at the Book Passage Mystery Writers conference. It's a fabulous once a year thing which brings top writers from around the country to work with about 100 aspiring mystery writers. Some of these are very good and every year contracts come out of the conference. Our latest success story is Cornelia Read whose Field of Darkness was an Edgar nominee.
Students today have the chance to work with Michael Connelly.
And I'll be back at Book Passage on the 15th for one of the royal tea parties I'll be hosting. It's a wonderful store, exactly what a bookstore should be like. Long may it flourish!
