Lady Killers – Free For All
Taking today's topic literally, I want to share with you a great new site that offers mysteries for FREE if you own an e-book reader! I’ve already downloaded over a dozen books, and my virtual bookshelf is growing by leaps and pages.
Among the books I’ve collected in the past few weeks are by such wonderful writers as Julie Smith, Joanna Campbell Slan, Janet Dawson, Jonnie Jacobs, Dana Stabenow, Connie Shelton, and many more.
Here’s a sampling of the books that are currently being offered at the Kindle Store, along with number of stars and number of reviews. But hurry—some of these titles won’t last long! Still, no worries. They’ll simply be replaced with other FREE books (including one of mine…coming soon!) Just go to :

I love getting free books, too. A lot of libraries are offering e-books now as loaners now, but we also have to be mindful of the impact of giving away books on these e-readers will have on royalties. Janet Evanovich can certainly afford it, but what about the rest of us? Plus, I've been hearing bad things about piracy programs that allow hackers to steal your book and give it away. And as the old saying goes, why would you buy a cow if you can get milk through the fence?

Thanks for your comment, Mike. This issue is certainly controversial and I don't know how I feel about it completely. The publishing industry is in such flux--it's all very confusing. I have a feeling things will change even more. (BTW, who's fencing milk these days? I've got a couple of gallons I need to unload....)
