Writers fight for all the free time they can get: so when it's time for a vacation, it can be tempting to bring along the laptop, edited pages, and the old Strunk and White. Which begs the question--is that really a vacation? More than one famous writer is known to hide in a hotel room for a week, where they do nothing but write, eat, and sleep. That doesn't really sound like a vacation either...except sometimes, it really, really does!
