Poetry and music have always evoked emotional responses in their patterns of rhyme or rhythm. Both remind me of my mother, a professional violinist and singer. Dedication to a healthy heart, to human bonding, and to platonic love is important and shows how much we care. Here are a few examples I’ve chosen to express affairs of the heart:
A friendship between two people who hold mutual affection for each other can be seen at your favorite café:
Having a teddy
bear doesn’t mean you’re immature, but sometimes they’re the only ones that
don’t laugh when you cry:
Valentine's Day symbols used today include the heart-shaped
outline, doves, the figure of the winged cupid, chocolates, and red roses. And,
of course, the mass-produced greeting cards.
Then there’s the
love of our pets. Shilo, my little mixed terrier, came to us two years ago when
our daughter Carla saved her from going into a shelter because her owner was
unable to keep her.
Our daughter
Krista sent us this adorable pair to show how much she missed us.

The violin is a wonderful instrument to express love and longing, and your tributes are very endearing. Shilo is one lucky fellow to have stolen your heart.
I'll be sharing what touches my heart on Saturday ... hmm ... maybe with a few other things. Great post. I want that latte.

Hi, Carole,
What beautiful photos! A good book, usually a romantic mystery, touches my heart. Love to read them. Love to write them.

What touches my heart is the unconditional love a mother and father have for their child. I am one proud daughter...my heart is full. Love your post, mommy-kins! You inspire the heart, mind and soul! HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! "Ribbit!" XO

Chocolate, of course. Good music. A warm room full of books and a comfy place to read. Lunch with friends. :-)

Thanks, Pat. I feel I'm lucky to have Shilo in my life. I've gained a lot since she entered my life. I adore her.

NIce looking little dog. Male sure she stays away from the chocolate though. It's harmful to pooches, as is sugarless gum.
