I had something similar happen to me, Ann. Who knew you had to take the ferry from Manhattan to Weehawken NJ to catch a train going to the Catskills in 1888? I was very lucky that someone caught that before Julia's Mending, my first historical novel (for young readers) was published back in 1987.

Good point, Ann. I always enjoy doing research because it gives me so many idea for new stories, as well as the little changes I have to make in the project that I'm working on.
